利用电特性(electric properties, EPs;电导率和介电常数)作为特征值对生物组织进行区分(例如:正常组织vs.肿瘤组织)可以应用于疾病尤其是肿瘤的早期诊断。生物组织的电特性与组织生理病理状态有密切的联系,在生物组织离体后其电特性发生明显变化,因此,在体测量的组织电特性数据更加真实,对疾病诊断有重要意义。本研究采用自制的小尺寸探头,对种植1~4周(10只/周)人类乳腺癌(MDA MB 231)的BALB/c裸鼠模型的肿瘤组织及正常组织的EPs进行在体和离体测量,测量频率范围为0.5~5 MHz,并对肿瘤组织进行病理学检测。对肿瘤组织及正常组织EPs数据进行分析得到裸鼠乳腺癌组织与正常组织的电导率和介电常数存在显著差异(〖WTBX〗P〖WTBZ〗<0.01)。同一组织在体测量及离体测量数据存在显著差异(〖WTBX〗P〖WTBZ〗<0.01)。对1~4周的乳腺癌肿瘤组织电特性数据分析得到在肿瘤发展过程中,其EPs产生变化。本研究结果表明小尺寸探头测量的在体生物组织EPs与离体EPs有明显差异,在体测量生物组织的EPs对根据EPs变化诊断早期癌症有重要意义。
Abstract:
Electrical properties (EPs; conductivity& permittivity) as an eigenvalue can be used to distinguish the biological tissues (for example: normal tissues vs. tumor tissues) and then diagnosis early disease, particularly tumor disease. EPs of biological tissues have close connection to its physiological and pathological conditions. As the EPs of biological tissues changes obviously after excised, the in-vivo data of biological tissue EPs is more accurate and is of great importance for diagnosis. This study developed a small size insertion-type probe to measure EPs of cancer (MDA MB 231), which was cultivated and implanted into the mammary fat pad of BLAC/c nude mice. The measurements was also performed on the normal tissues and the ex-vivo tissues. Frequency of measurements range was from 0.5 to 5 MHz. After measurements, pathological examinations on the measure tissues were conducted. There were statistically-significant differences between malignant breast tissue and normal tissues for the conductivity and permittivity (〖WTBX〗P〖WTBZ〗<0.01); there were also statistically-significant differences between in-vivo data and ex-vivo data(〖WTBX〗P〖WTBZ〗<0.01). And the measure results showed the changes of EPs as the breast cancer developing. The results indicate that measurements of biological tissues using the newly developed small size probe have significant difference between in-vivo EPs and ex-vivo EPs. And measuring EPs of biological tissues in-vivo has great importance for cancer early diagnose by the EPs changes.
