In this research, the inertial sensor was used to analyze the correlation between the head and the waist in the human body. The four volunteers simulated five kinds of daily activities and four kinds of fall movements. With a large number of simulation experiments, we found that under the experimental conditions, the correlation of resultant acceleration between the head and waist was extremely low or irrelevant. The angle of the head and waist which between the resultant acceleration and the vertical direction had lower correlation or irrelevant in most daily activities, but was higher level during the fall. This conclusion may provide a new method for the prediction or detection of falls.
